This painting was painted using techniques I came up with during the time I lost use of my right arm. It was painted mostly with my non dominant left hand. I did not regain full use of my right arm and there are days that I can not hold a brush or control the movements of my right arm and/or hand, even in my mobile arm support.

I had to ask myself, 'what can I do with my left hand?'. I knew I couldn't rely on detail or paint small and tight. I started with small pieces of paper to dip in paint and use as if it were a brush. Once I discovered I could build up texture and turn a form with that, I started to gather objects to use to create different affects. I can now turn those days into explorations of texture and color.
